Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Dr. Bill Sopchak, and I am the director of Sopchak Chiropractic / Natural Health & Wellness Center. I have been selected as the proud host and coordinator of Painesville’s, “Community Wellness Day”. Our event will be held on May 14, 2011 in Painesville, from 12:00-3:00 pm at the Zion Lutheran Church.

Community Wellness Day is a national event focusing on educating the members of our community on very important information which is critical to the total wellness for our residents. We will be sharing an array of information on health, safety, environmental and financial wellness. This event will be taking place in many cities nationwide during a 3 week period during the spring of 2011. Our political leaders will be recognizing this as an important day in our community to empower people to take back responsibility for their families’ well being. The local law enforcement and other agencies will be on hand to provide important ID information for children, families and seniors. The local fire department will be providing fire prevention and safety information, as well as bringing the “Smoke House”. Various community agencies will be participating and sharing their programs on auto safety, internet safety, identity fraud protection, financial literacy info, health screenings, drug/ alcohol awareness information, senior services information, and much more. There will be information available for all ages of our community. Admission to the event is FREE, and there will be food, fun & entertainment for all ages.

Birthright Lake Inc, has been chosen as the beneficiary of our event. They offer free, non-judgmental, confidential help and support to pregnant women and families who are struggling due to personal and /or financial difficulties. Their services include pregnancy testing, maternity clothing, infant and toddler clothing, formula, diapers, baby food and other miscellaneous items. Clients receive these items at no cost to them. They accommodate over 1,800 families each year.
The health care crisis is not going to be solved in Washington. It is going to be solved in our local community through education, awareness, and individuals and families committing to making lifestyle changes.
I continue to work very hard in our community to give people the tools they need to take back responsibility for their family’s health and well-being. And as a major impetus in encouraging people to take back this responsibility, I am proud to be bringing “Community Wellness day” to our great town of Painesville.

But as you are fully aware, I cannot do this alone. I know that each and every one of you value the future health and prosperity of our community, therefore, I welcome any and all support that you can offer as a resident or business member of Painesville.
